    Full description

This Cremona violin stands off for its increadible refinement. The selection of the wood was carefully thought to bring up both aesthetical and acustical excelence. The top of italian Spruce of fine to midium-width grain that wides off towards the edges is followed by an amazing flamed maple which fine medular grain spots compound a gentle and soft texture.

The maple wood of the sides, neck and scroll have a similar pattern to the single piece back. The higlight of this violin, its stunning transparent varnish, covers the instrument over a light ground colour that allows the wood to be for its own beauty. The varnish is charmingly worn by the 40 years of usage.

The crafting is precise and careful. All the plates edges are followed by a gentile fluting that leads our eyes to the refined purfling and perfectly carved outlines. The arching of the top and back plates presents no less elegance.

Violin bow by Marta Lucchi, silver mounted

By Marta Lucchi  |  , Cremona

A violin bow crafted by the hands of a master maker. Marta’s long experience as a bow maker allows expressiveness in her characteristic work that follows her father’s style. In our opinion, the high point of this violin bow is its bold squared head.
